World’s leader in on-demand public transit joins Council

Via is the world’s leader in on-demand public transit and has more than 70 micro-transit deployments across the world, including six partnerships with cities and transit agencies in California — LA Metro, the City of West Sacramento, Orange County Transit Authority, Marin Transit, SamTrans (Pacifica), and soon the City of Cupertino.

In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve economic and social mobility, cities need to dramatically upgrade public transit and get more people to use shared modes of transportation instead of driving their cars.
