10 tips to prevent coronavirus

Coronavirus / Novel coronavirus can be prevented by maintaining personal hygiene in a proper way and by doing the following things

  • regular hand washing with high-quality hand washes, and using alcohol wet wipes (use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol).

  • covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing
  • The consumption of raw or undercooked animal products should be avoided.

  • avoiding bat soups
  • avoiding crowded places

  • Avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing
  • Stay home when you're sick.

  • Regularly and thoroughly clean surfaces, such as countertops and doorknobs, with a disinfectant.
  • monitor your symptoms.

    • If signs are seen such as, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your health care provider

    Coronaviruses(CoV) | Novel coronavirus(nCoV)

The World Health Organization (WHO) has held Geneva to consider coronavirus to be declared a global health emergency.
Various countries have implemented evacuation and quarantine plans for nationals wanting to return from China, where the outbreak began in the city of Wuhan.

With the virus reportedly spreading from person-to-person in parts of that country. Infections with 2019-nCoV, most of them associated with travel from Wuhan,

2019-nCoV is a betacoronavirus, like MERS and SARs, both of which have their origins in bats. The sequences from U.S. patients are similar to the one that China initially posted, suggesting a likely single, recent emergence of this virus from an animal reservoir
There are currently seven recognized types of coronavirus that can infect humans.
    Common types include:

    • 229E (alpha coronavirus)
    • NL63 (alpha coronavirus)
    • OC43 (beta coronavirus)
    • HKU1 (beta coronavirus)

Researchers are racing to develop a vaccine to protect people from the virus. One lab in California has plans for a potential vaccine to enter human trials by June or July.
coronavirus is spreading like havoc worldwide and nowadays it has become a serious matter of discussion!
    so, the question arises,

    1. what is coronavirus (CoV)?
    2. Where did this new coronavirus (CoV) come from?
    3. how does (CoV)spread?
    4. what are the symptoms of coronavirus (CoV)?
    5. how coronavirus (CoV) is treated?
    6. what is coronavirus (CoV)?.

    what is coronavirus?

Novel coronavirus or (2019-nCoV) a new type of virus that belongs to a family of viruses known as coronaviruses. coronavirus infects mostly bats, pigs, and small mammals but they underwent mutation and this leads to the rise of The Novel coronavirus or (nCoV)now they can infect humans.

Where did this new Coronaviruses (CoV) come from?

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

According to our scientists, The Novel coronavirus or (nCoV) came from bats and due to mutation in their genome (due to this change in genome their protein and receptor also changes) they are able to infect humans.

According to some of the health officials, the outbreak of  The Novel coronavirus or (nCoV) originated in a large animal and seafood market in Wuhan, China.

But no one is having the exact information about the origin of the virus and it does this virus can infect humans.
Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.

Coronaviruses can spread in the following ways:

    • Coughing and sneezing without covering the mouth can disperse droplets of aerosols into the air, spreading the virus.
    • Touching things or shaking hands with a person that has the virus(can be a carrier or victim) can pass the virus from one person to another.
    • Making contact with a surface or object that has the virus and then touching your nose, eyes, or mouth.

what are the symptoms of coronavirus?

Most people get infected with coronaviruses at one point in their lives, but symptoms are typically mild to moderate. In some cases, the viruses can cause lower-respiratory tract illnesses such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
These viruses are common amongst animals worldwide, but only a handful of them are known to affect humans. Rarely, coronaviruses can evolve and spread from animals to humans. This is what happened with the coronaviruses known as the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-Cov), both of which are known to cause more severe symptoms.

The signs and symptoms which are seen after the infection of coronavirus are

    respiratory symptoms
    • fever
    • cough
    • shortness of breath
    • breathing difficulties

In more severe cases, the infection can cause
    • pneumonia
    • severe acute respiratory syndrome
    • nausea
    • vomiting
    • diarrhea
    • kidney failure
    • even death.

    How coronavirus (CoV) is treated?

Scientists are working hard to understand the virus, and Chinese health authorities have posted their full genome in international databases. Currently, there are no approved antivirals for this particular coronavirus, so treatment is supportive care to help relieve symptomsFor severe cases, treatment should include care to support vital organ functions. For the sickest patients with this illness, specialized, aggressive care in an intensive care unit (ICU) can be lifesaving.

People who think they may have been exposed to 2019-nCoV should contact your healthcare provider immediately.

    History of nCoV

These viruses are responsible for between 15 and 30 percent of common colds.
Over the last 70 years, scientists have found that coronaviruses can infect mice, rats, dogs, cats, turkeys, horses, pigs, and cattle. Most recently, authorities identified a coronavirus outbreak in China that has now reached other countries.

Growth Factor of Novel Coronavirus Daily Deaths

Growth factor is the factor by which a quantity multiplies itself over time. The formula used is every day's deaths deaths on the previous day. For example, a quantity growing by 7% every period (in this case daily) has a growth factor of 1.07.
