Fisher is bidding for her fourth title
|
Defending champion Kelly Fisher closed in on her fourth women's world title with a comfortable 4-0 defeat of Reanne Evans in the semi-finals. The world number one, who has lost just one match all season, knocked in breaks of 44, 54, 60 and 43 in an emphatic victory over her unseeded opponent.
Fisher will meet Lisa Quick in the final after the 2001 runner-up beat Wendy Jans 4-0.
Quick sneaked two frames on the black and one on the pink in a tight contest not reflected in the scoreline.
"It was never a 4-0 game and could easily have been 2-2," said Quick.
"Kelly will be very tough to beat in the final because she is by far the best player. But I know I am capable of beating her on my day."
