Song Ji-hyo's New TV Series to Provide Respite from Summer Heat

Actress Song Ji-hyo will appear in a new TV series that will help fans take their minds off the sweltering heat.

The series "Lovely Horribly" has mixed elements of a romance and a thriller, to provide respite from the summer heat.

"It may not be as scary as some may anticipate. The two main characters' destinies switch every eight years, and their lives are turned upside down," Song said at a press event on Thursday. "Things happen that may look scary, but they can also look lovely as the two characters develop feelings for each other."

The series revolves around a star actor and a scriptwriter who experience the change of fate, as bizarre events happen as they work together.

Park Si-hoo co-stars with Song for the first time in the series.

The series is scheduled to begin airing next week.
