This is the legit Instagram.
This is the real Instagram.Be careful and make sure you get the actual Instagram app. A few months ago there were dozens of fake versions of Instagram popping up on Amazon daily. All of them were some kind of spoof app to get access to your phone system for various nefarious reasons, or to con you into giving up your user name and password. None of them actually accessed Instagram.It was so bad that the real Instagram pulled the official app off of Amazon.This same scam was also run on Facebook and Pinterest fake apps. As well as fake Pokemon Go apps. And probably a dozen others I never found.So be careful. And always make sure the seller/developer of an app is who they are supposed to be. In the listing above you can see the selling is Amazon Digital Services LLC. On the fake apps the seller or developer is something like "HASOISAFGA Inc". They would also spell Instagram wrong, so avoid the automatic sweeps looking for 'Instagram'. They would call it Insta'gramm or Instaaagraam os something like that.Don't assume everything you download is legit. Look it over. Make sure it smells right. And if you do load an app that isn't what it's supposed to be, delete it immediately. Don't just turn it off and let it be. Get it off your device.Personally I think its' always smart to test any download on an old phone. Make sure it's the right thing because you put it on the phone where you store your banking app.
