Earlier this year, K-pop-star-turned-record-label-CEO Jay Park announced that fellow rapper Simon D would be joining him as co-CEO of his new label AOMG Records. After putting out their first full-length album with Park’s Evolution LP last month, the label is bringing its first set of shows to America.
The AOMG 2014 United States Tour features Park and Simon D joined by their artists Gray, a producer/singer/rapper, Loco, a rapper, and one of two of AOMG’s disc jockeys DJ Pumpkin. The crew will hit Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C. in November.
Park had just visited America in March when he headlined SXSW showcase “K-POP NIGHT OUT at SXSW,” alongside HyunA and Nell, which brought Lady Gaga as a spectator. In September, he released his Evolution album that peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
The AOMG crew join the likes of Dynamic Duo, San E, Bumkey, Dumbfoundead and other Korean hip-hop stars who have all performed stateside this year.
