Girl’s Day and SF9 will be making their way to Los Angeles in August for KCON USA presented by Toyota.
On Thursday (June 1), the two K-pop groups were revealed as the first acts performing at KCON 2017 LA. In its sixth year, the three-day Korean culture convention and music festival will make its way to Los Angeles’ Convention Center and the Staples Center from Aug. 18-20.
Girl’s Day is a female quartet that has been around since 2010 and seen major successes with their energetic dance pop sings. They’re known for their hits like “Expectation,” “Something,” and “Female President,” the latter of which was was one of best K-pop songs of 2013. The group released a new EP, Everyday #5, in March, fronted by their most recent single, the brassy banger “I’ll Be Yours.”
Nine-member boy band SF9 is the first dance-focused act from FNC Entertainment, the home of K-pop pop-rock bands FTISLAND and CNBLUE, along with the popular girl group AOA. SF9’s still a new player in the K-pop world, but have already released a handful of singles in Korea and will issue their first Japanese single next week. They most recently dropped “Easy Love,” in April. The boy band is the first double-header of this year’s U.S.-based KCON events. They’ll also perform at KCON 2017 NY on June 23.

Tickets for KCON 2017 LA go on sale July 7 at 10AM PST. Tickets for KCON 2017 NY, which will be held on at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on June 23 and 24, are already on sale.
