They’ve made history, dominated the charts, filled arenas and snagged awards (and the cover of Time). Now, BTS is set to rule the big screen.
The K-pop superstars make their cinematic debut with Burn the Stage: the Movie, which is set for a limited release Nov. 15.
Directed by Park Jun Soo and produced by Big Hit Entertainment / Camp Entertainment, Burn The Stage will capture the band’s meteoric rise and take an “intimate look” at their soldout The Wings Tour 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III, which shifted 550,000 tickets across 40 concerts, according to a statement issued Friday.
An extension of the YouTube series of the same name, Burn the Stage: the Movie will feature footage from BTS’ live dates, behind-the-scenes footage and “brand-new from-the-heart interviews” with the septet, the press release reads.
BTS is one of the hottest groups on the planet right now. The boy band topped the Billboard 200 albums chart not once but twice this year with their sets Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Answer, they addressed the United Nations General Assembly (a first for a K-pop outfit), and they’ve just been selected as one of Time Magazine’s “Next Generation Leaders.”
Trafalgar Releasing is distributing the new film. Tickets go on sale Oct. 22 from the official film website, www.burnthestagethemovie.com.
Members of the ARMY are encouraged to sign-up for details on tickets, participating theaters and more information. Check out the official poster below.
