Norbert Röttgen
President
Dr. Norbert Röttgen has been a Member of the German Parliament since 1994. He served as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee until 2021.
From 2009-2012, he was Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. During his political career, Dr. Röttgen has fulfilled key functions within the Christian Democratic Party (CDU), including as chief whip of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Röttgen holds a PhD in Law from Bonn University. He is a Senior Fellow at the Hertie School of Governance Berlin.
