Arby's may need to change its slogan to "We had the meats."

The chain's new venison sandwich, which it has been testing in several markets, is quickly selling out, according to a report.

Arby's Atlanta, Georgia, location, which started offering the item Friday, sold out of the sandwich in 90 minutes, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin, which had less inventory, sold out in 15 minutes.

Arby's did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.

Arby's new sandwich is being tested in 17 markets during the month of November, in Tennessee, Georgia, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. All six states are notable deer hunting states, NRN reported.

"We were very confident that hunters and even non-hunters would love this sandwich," Luke DeRouen, an Arby's spokesman, told the publication. "But it's safe to say that the response has exceeded our lofty expectations."

The hot new product features a thick-cut venison steak, crispy onions and berry sauce on a toasted roll. It costs about $5.
