Thirty-two seasons of Survivor down, who knows how many left to go. Having more than lived up to its namesake, there’s no telling how long the CBS franchise can continue. But now that Survivor: Kaoh Rong is in the books and a winner has been named, we can start looking forward to next season.

Host Jeff Probst was kind enough to give us some early scoop on what to expect when the show returns in the fall with a band new cast and a new theme in the form of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What sort of theme do you have cooked up for us for season 33 and why?

JEFF PROBST: Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X. It will hook you quickly because you will identify with one group or the other. The differences between the two groups are quickly apparent, and the Millennials often left me challenging my own way of looking at the world. There is so much appealing energy from the Millennials, and yet often that energy leads to quick decisions that aren’t always well thought out. With Gen X, you see a tendency to overthink and get stuck in one way of thinking, which can prevent mistakes, but can also hold you back from seizing opportunities. I feel really confident the audience is going to enjoy the season very much.

You’re back in Fiji, but in a different location than last time, right?

We are in the greatest location of all time. This is my favorite spot. I love it. Beautiful islands, amazing water, great underwater shots, lots of fishing, and great camp life. I can’t stress how much I enjoyed it, and the audience will too. It’s everything you want in a Survivor location.

The elements played a huge role in Kaoh Rong. What sort of weather are we looking at for next season?

Well, I can tease this… the elements do come into play, and in a way they never have before.

Any other twists or teases you can let us in on at this point?

What, this isn’t enough? It’s our 33rd season, and I am very curious where you will rank it.
