In just one week, BTS’s “Boy With Luv” smashed the latest record for the biggest 24-hour debut. YouTube confirmed to Forbes that the world’s biggest boy band amassed 74.6 million views in one day with their “Boy With Luv” music video featuring Halsey.

The video platform also confirmed that it hit 100 million views in under two days, making it the fastest music video to reach that milestone of all time. BTS previously set a record for the fastest K-pop music video to reach the 100 million mark in 2018 with “IDOL” in under six days. The K-pop superstars currently have 18 music videos with over 100 million views.

It was only a week ago when BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” unseated Ariana Grande for the biggest 24-hour debut with 56.7 million views. The first-day view count for “Boy With Luv” nearly doubles BTS’s second highest-charting song, “IDOL” — which racked up 45.9 million views in 24 hours last year.

While BTS has three songs on the chart, “Boy With Luv” is actually their fourth music video to crack the top 10. Back in 2017, “DNA” unseated Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” to reach No. 6. Since then, their breakout single (in the U.S.) has fallen off the top 10.

K-pop is thoroughly dominating YouTube’s 24-hour debut list. Now, Korean acts take up seven of the top 10 spots. BTS has three songs on the chart: “Boy With Luv,” “Fake Love” and “IDOL.” Their songs are flanked by BLACKPINK (“Kill This Love” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU”), Psy (“Gentleman”) and TWICE (“Yes or Yes”).

Fans are giving more weight to this particular achievement. The immediacy of this one-time measure is the perfect match for fandoms’ front-loaded mobilization tactics. And there’s no immediate drop-off, which K-pop acts often experience on long-term charts. (To be fair, BTS’s Love Yourself: Answer spent 31 weeks on the Billboard 200.)

It probably didn’t hurt that “Boy With Luv” featured American pop phenomenon, Halsey. Stateside collabs are becoming more common in K-pop, but it’s not everyday that a U.S. star learns the choreography. Earlier this year, she clocked her first solo No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “Without Me.”

In typical Bangtan style, BTS stacked up a few more achievements along the way. “Boy With Luv” hit No. 3 on Spotify’s daily Global Top 200 chart, making BTS the highest-ranking Korean act to debut on the chart. In the U.S., all seven songs from their new album, Map of the Soul: Persona, reached the iTunes Top 10 music chart. Their lead single hit No. 2 behind Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” remix with Billy Ray Cyrus.

BTS just took their comeback performance to the next level by performing “Boy With Luv” (as well as “MIC Drop”) on their biggest stage yet: Saturday Night Live.
