One week after unleashing their latest single onto the world, BTS reach heights they’ve not known before in one of the largest music markets in the world with their latest single “Dynamite,” which barely misses out on running the show.

For the sixth week in a row, Joel Corry and MNEK’s “Head & Heart” rules the singles chart in the U.K., fending off competition from BTS, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion all at once.

Speaking of those two female powerhouses, their joint smash “WAP” is comfortable at No. 2, though it made a serious play for the No. 1 spot this time around, and it could be a contender for the highest rung next week.

BTS debut their new song “Dynamite” at No. 3 on the U.K. singles ranking this frame, earning their first top 10 hit in the country with an instant smash. Last year, BTS and Halsey sent their collaboration “Boy With Luv” to No. 13 on the U.K. singles chart, which stood as their best placement until this frame. The seven-member vocal band has scored two additional top 40 wins in the nation, as both “Idol” and “On” stalled at No. 21.

“Dynamite” appears to be the first single from BTS’s forthcoming album, and although the set doesn’t yet have a name or a proper release date, Big Hit Entertainment, the company behind the South Korean superstars, has confirmed it will be available by the end of 2020.

Hip-hop talents Headie One, AJ Tracey and Stormzy launch their new effort “Ain’t It Different” at No. 4, earning all involved another big hit on the chart. The track likely serves as a preview of the former’s forthcoming new album.

“Ain’t It Different” marks One’s fourth top 10 in the U.K., Tracey’s sixth and Stormzy’s eleventh.

The rest of the songs present inside the top 10 in the U.K. this frame all fall from where they ranked last week, pushed down by the incoming hits by BTS, Stormzy, Headie One and AJ Tracey.

Nathan Dawe and KSI’s “Lighters” and Drake and Lil Durk’s “Laugh Now, Cry Later” both dip two spots, settling at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively this period.

Behind those releases, Pop Smoke and Lil Tjay’s surging “Mood Swings” slips one spot to No. 7, and it is closely followed by Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” at No. 8, AJ Tracey (who controls two spots inside the top 10 this week) and Mabel’s “West Ten” at No. 9 while DJ Khaled and Drake (another name who appears in more than one slot this turn) settle at No. 10 with “Greece.”
