In September, The NHL Board of Governors unanimously approved the sale of the Senators to Michael Andlauer, who owned 10% of the Montreal Canadiens. Anna and Olivia Melnyk, the daughters of the late Eugene Melnyk, will retain a 10% interest in the team through the Melnyk Estate. Andlauer paid an enterprise value of $950 million for the Senators and its arena, Canadian Tire Centre.
