Actor Daniel Dae Kim will make his Broadway debut this spring in Rodgers & Hammerstein's "The King and I."
Kim, who is best known for his roles in television shows such as "Lost" and "Hawaii Five-0," will join the cast of the Tony Award-winning revival at New York City's Lincoln Center Theater for an eight-week run beginning May 3.
"It's a truly beautiful production that I'm honored and excited to be a part of," Kim wrote on Instagram Wednesday following the announcement.
This won't be his first take on the role of the King: Kim starred in a production of "The King and I" in June 2009 in London.

Kim's run will follow the returns of Academy Award-nominated actor Ken Watanabe, who begins a seven-week run in March, and of Jose Llana, who played the King last summer in the revival production and will reprise the role for the two-week interim between Watanabe's and Kim's performances.
Watanabe received a Tony nomination for his "King and I" performance — the first time a Japanese actor had ever been nominated in the category.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized for my first role on an American stage," Watanabe told the New York Daily News last April. "I couldn’t have done it without everyone involved in 'The King and I,' particularly [director] Bart Sher and [co-star] Kelli O'Hara.”
The Lincoln Center Theater's "The King and I" revival began previews last March and premiered in April. It received nine Tony Awards and won four, including Best Revival of a Musical.
