BTS’ V has shared his new self-composed song, titled ‘Scenery’.
The K-pop artist, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, uploaded the piano-led track to BTS’ SoundCloud account earlier today (January 30).
The credits note that V composed the song, wrote its lyrics and took the cover photo for the track. DOCSKIM produced it, while BTS collaborators Pdogg and Hiss Noise also worked on the ballad. You can listen to and download ‘Scenery’ below.
The release of ‘Scenery’ comes days after V began teasing the track online by sharing a short video clip of him recording in the studio. He had previously announced at the 28th Seoul Music Awards that he had been busy working on his own solo track.

It’s not the first time that V has released music outside of BTS. He and bandmate Jin contributed the track ‘It’s Definitely You’ to the soundtrack of K-drama Hwarang, which V also appeared in.

The track follows another BTS member’s own debut self-composed track: Jimin shared his song ‘Promise’ in December. The track broke Drake’s Soundcloud record for the most streams on the first day of release.
Other members of the Korean boyband have also released their own material outside of the group. Leader RM has shared two mixtapes – his self-titled 2015 release and October’s ‘mono.’ – while J-Hope and Suga have both put out their own mixtapes too, with ‘Hope World’ and ‘Agust D’ respectively.
Meanwhile, the BTS documentary Burn The Stage: The Movie recently arrived on YouTube Premium after its November cinematic release. The film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the South Korean group’s 2017 ‘Wings’ tour which visited such countries as Brazil, the US and Japan.
