A student group at Kean College of New Jersey said today that Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has accepted an invitation to speak at the school.

A news release from the Pan African Student Union on college letterhead said Mr. Farrakhan would speak at 8 P.M. on March 28 at the Wilkins Theater.

The appearance, which could not be confirmed late Friday, would come four months after Mr. Farrakhan's then-national spokesman, Khallid Abdul Muhammad, gave a speech at Kean. On Nov. 29, Mr. Muhammad called Jews "bloodsuckers," labeled the pope "a no-good cracker," condemned homosexuals and urged blacks to kill whites in South Africa.

Mr. Muhammad spoke again in New Jersey on Monday at Trenton State College, and toned down his rhetoric but told students that Jews run businesses that prey on blacks.

The speech could not be confirmed late Friday by either Nation of Islam members in Chicago or by the college.
