Mediocre effort even by the standards of video game adaptations, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D features weak characters and an incomprehensible plot with a shortage of scares.

amy t I mean, it went pretty fast and the random character design change was a little random. i'm not a critic but I believe the effects were pretty shitty compared to the first movie. i don't recommend it, I mean what happened to rose?? they never even cover that and where the fuck did these other people come from? it doesn't cover much, so it's hard to follow. anyway don't recommend !! justice for rose Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Vivien M I think the story and detail are impressive and it goes well with the first movie. It's a decent horror movie with a twisted storyline. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Spanky W I made a Rotten Tomatoes account just to leave this review. 8% is too good for this movie. I'm a major fan of the (first three) Silent Hill games. The first SH movie had some issues with it, but is captured the atmosphere pretty well. I was so excited for this sequel. I went to see it in theaters the day it came out. It was terrible!!!! I was so upset my friend had to hold me down to keep me from storming out. M. J. Bassett went on and on about making a true movie for SH fans then gave us this rubbish. Worst movie I've ever seen. I'd give it negative 10 stars if I could. Even removing the SH elements, it'd still be gutter trash on its own. Terrible job. Terrible director. The fans were betrayed. Anytime someone mentions the Silent Hill movies, I correct them and say there's only one. The second one doesn't exist. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Fleegle B Great movie, I wish it was more game accurate though Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Dan R Having recently re-watched 'Silent Hill' I decided to watch its sequel, that I'd never seen, 'Silent Hill: Revelation'. SYNOPSIS: 'When her adoptive father disappears, Sharon Da Silva is drawn into a strange and terrifying alternate reality that holds answers to the horrific nightmares that have plagued her since childhood.' Well this is terrible. Somehow this film manages to deliver something totally incoherent and with little to do with the first movie or the video game franchise. They totally botched this film which is a crime in itself. Boring and baffling in good measure. 2/10 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review bruce w Way worse than the first one but still has some redeeming qualities in presentation of iconic entities from the series. While I like to rewatch the 1st movie this one ... very unlikely. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tara Brady Irish Times "Come to Silent Hill" reads a "scary" message left for teen damsel Heather. Hell, no. Rated: 2/5 Nov 2, 2012 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle I realize it's called Silent Hill for a reason, but enduring this botched (video game-based) nightmare is like sleepwalking into the world's dullest Halloween party. Rated: 0/5 Nov 2, 2012 Full Review Rafer Guzman Newsday "Revelation" is incredibly boring as well as totally baffling. Oct 28, 2012 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Somehow manages to avoid delivering much of what made either the first movie or the original video game series appealing, with its confounding narrative feeling entirely accidental as opposed to intentionally mysterious. Rated: 2/5 Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine I was impressed by the film's production values and visual panache. Between the Rembrandt burnish of the cinematography and the antique-store detail of the design, ugliness has never looked so pretty. Jul 31, 2019 Full Review Johnny Gayzmonic Fanboys of the Universe A mesmerizing display of human grotesquerie like Hieronymous Bosch filtered through Clive Barker, and that's exactly how it should be.
