Sigourney Weaver gracefully undertakes a difficult role, while the rest of the cast lifts the histrionic plot into something worthwhile.

Brian K A very Canadian movie -- it's slow, small in scope, and nothing much happens. However, this picture has a good heart at it center, the characters and situations are (mostly) authentic, and the acting is good*. *Ms. Weaver sometimes over-acts, and Mr. Rickman is somewhat flat at times, but this is mostly attributable to the screenplay. The supporting actors are all very good, including Ms. Moss. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting small indie from 06. Weaver and Rickman's interactions are definitely the selling point and the script does a great job capturing an authentic relationship between a person with autism and someone without it. It is a bit slight though and never rises above the expansive sea of average mid aughts dramedies. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A very lovely movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review andrey k Very good and pleasant to watch movie, a rare case when you literally enjoy every minute of it. There are three irresistible reasons to watch this movie: first - the charm of Alan Rickman, second - outstanding performance by Sigourney Weaver, and the third - the jaw-droppingly beautiful Carrie-Anne Moss. So that makes for an endless enjoyment during the viewing as at least one of them is present on the screen. But besides that the story is quite humanistic, and the ending is just about right; not to forget the wintry atmosphere. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Two handkercheifs. Emotionally rewarding. Without a carchase, nor a bulletshot, a wonderful human, humane story. Sigourney Weaver has never been better. nor has she been more beautiful. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Alan Rickman. Good retard by Sigouney Weaver. Very believable. Music by Broken Social Scene,,,,, Again!!!
