Unprincipled attitude of great powers makes Serbia’s struggle for Kosovo-Metohija more difficult

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated today at a special session of the Serbian parliament dedicated to Kosovo-Metohija that his job as president of Serbia is to tell the truth, no matter how hard it is, but that he will never stop fighting for Kosovo-Metohija.

Vucic told MPs that the European powers and the United States allowed Pristina not to form the Community of Serb Municipalities for six years, which was the only obligation of Albanians under the Brussels Agreement.

He recalled that six years have passed and the Albanians have not yet enabled the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities, just as it has passed over 200 days since they imposed tariffs on goods from central Serbia, and no one is doing anything about it .

Also, no one reacts to the fact that they have announced the formation of a Greater Albania today, Vucic emphasised, adding that it would be completely different if Serbia spoke in this way about Republika Srpska.

The President assessed that this is unfair and shows double standards, but that Belgrade can only understand how things really are and continue to fight in the best possible way.

According to Vucic, the Albanians understood that Serbs wanted the Community of Serb Municipalities in order to institutionalise the connections between Serbs in the south and those from the north, that is, to connect four municipalities from the north with six municipalities in the south.
