About Us

The Academy Australia ("The Academy") was established in 2016 by Director Angela Lee and her business partner Julianne Xie. Recognising the growing demand in Australia for Asian events, content and entertainment opportunities, in particular the global phenomenon that is Kpop, The Academy's primary objective is to connect Australia to Asia and bring Asian events to Australia.

Most notably, The Academy's flagship event is its annual Kpop boot camp which provides a platform for Australia's young talents to explore their artistic potential through experiential dance, vocal and modelling training over a 8-10 day period. It is an extremely rewarding and very challenging program designed to push the limits of ones potential to new higher levels.

The Academy also prides itself on being able to work with professional trainers, talent scouts and consultants from top Asian entertainment agencies. As a result, they have been able to open the door for budding young Australians, with dreams of becoming the next global artist, to access audition opportunities and dance workshops with respected professionals in the industry, to offer a snippet of what life is like to be an idol trainee.

They encourage a supportive and inclusive culture in the community, so it's no wonder that their trainees and followers enjoy sharing their passions for The Arts and Kpop and develop lifelong friendships after attending an event hosted by The Academy.
