PARSONS The New School for Design is set to re-open a new academic centre in Paris. The legendary New York-based college is known for having trained luminaires including Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Tom Ford.

From autumn 2013, Parsons Paris will offer bachelors and masters degrees taught in English and catering to the school's New York curriculum. There will also be classes in business, urban and environmental studies. Parsons first established a Paris programme in 1921, although its relationship with its American counterpart ended in 2010.

The centre is located in a newly-renovated building at 45 rue Saint-Roch, where classes will be held - in addition to other sites in the city. There are also plans to open Shanghai, Mumbai and China branches in the next coming years.
