Our menu offers an extensive selection of Korean meats as well as chicken and seafood for grilling. Each barbeque is served with dipping sauces that will truly enhance the flavor of the meat. Time Out New York raves, "The signature dish, cabernet three-layer pork, is a must-try." In addition to the tableside barbeque, Chef Kim serves up a range of savory traditional Korean dishes including his Japchae- clear glass noodles stir fried with a choice of seafood or vegetables, as well as our guests' favorite Haemul Pajeon- crisp seafood and scallion pancake. Not only that, at Don's Bogam all of our dishes are served with an array of delicious Korean side dishes that will surely entice your eyes as well as your taste buds.

Q:
What different type of banchan do they serve? Do we cook it ourselves?
A:
They serve a variety of banchan (I think they swap them out once in a while). I specifically remember kimchi, spinach namul, mul kimchi, and some eggplant thing. The… more

Q:
Would one order of meat, the Galbi for example be enough for two people?
A:
With some sides, it should be enough, unless you're ravenous!

Took my parents here as my first visit was pretty good (didn't like the banchan selection but the meat was great). This second visit was so disappointing, it made me embarrassed my parents had to have a meal here.
The biggest let down was service - our server barely paid attention to us. We had to flag other servers down to ask for more banchan (which was better this time) and to ask for plastic utensils for my toddler. Note: we were there around 5pm so it was still slow, like 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. He was borderline rude when taking orders and then forgot one.
The meat this time was not flavorful, which was regretful given the cost. The seafood pancake was delicious, good amount of seafood filling and crispy.
There's plenty of other kbbq options in the area that I'd rather spend my money on.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 -

Tonight, my friend organized our gathering at this Korean BBQ restaurant.
We were a party of 6 and the wait to get a table wasn't long. We met at the bar area at 6:30pm and we were seated at 6:45pm.
The dishes were all delicious. We had marinated chicken, pork belly and bulgogi. Also, we ordered the cold noodles and kimchi stew. All the dishes came out quick. They didn't hesitated to replenish the banchan dishes when we asked.
We weren't fond of the customer service. The waitress questioned us on how many dishes we ordered and she insisted we won't be full with how little we ordered.
At the end of the meal, the waiter who came by with the check questioned us why we didn't leave a tip.
My friend informed him, the tip was added to the bill already due to our large party. He didn't apologized for his mistake.
There are better Korean restaurants nearby that I didn't think we will be returning to this one.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Finally visited in person! Made a reservation for a weekday and had a great dinner here. My party of three shared the japchae, prime yangnyeom galbi and bulgogi. The galbi was the highlight - so good - followed by the Japchae. Great banchan, too.

We're happy that you're happy, and we're looking forward to your next visit.
Aug 5, 2020Previous reviewOrdered Dons Bogam for delivery and the food was delicious. My boyfriend and I shared the Galbi Dolsot, which was the best thing we ordered, as well as the Bulgogi (came with rice) and Japchae (glass noodles with vegetables). Also, the kimchi ruled. My only complaint is that the order came almost an hour late. Still, not a dealbreaker. The containers also had vacuum sealed plastic lids, which is cool. 4.5 stars.

Quick and efficient staff.
Loud ambiance. You'll be straining to hear over the noise. Tables are very close together, so you'll be overheating your neighbors' convos.
Food is served very quickly.
Can't say that supreme beef meat bbq platter for two is worth $149. It includes pulled short rib, skirt steak, ny strip steak, brisket, and some other sort of supreme beef cut. All tasted similar. We polished the plate. Definitely didn't feel full. Not worth the price for the quantity of food.
Lychee martini was delicious. Perfectly balanced flavor profile. Not sweet. Strong, but not overtly so.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 -

One of our other KBBQ favorite place.
The food is great, the portions are generous and the service is efficient and nice.
They have several options in the menu but the beef platter for two easily feed three people.
The meat is tender and good quality. The waiter will good and cut the meat for you.
They will reserve you rice and kimchi if you ask. The kimchi is pretty good and not too spicy.
They have flavored soju. The litchi soju is really good.
It's a great place to go with friends ! I recommend itHelpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

The most expensive Korean bbq I have ever tried in my whole life for two people. I had dinner here cost me around $170!!! The bulgogi beef was okay. Korean pancake was okay. Not sure if the dinner was worth that much.
The place was big and had a lot of people. There were private booths to keep people separated but I still felt really close to other people.
Service was alright, attentive and nice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Enjoyed my dining experiencing at Dons. Food was delicious, with great flavors and large portions, but service was okay. Had the Dak Gui Dolsot, which was essentially chicken veggies and rice. The dish is served in a stone which made the rice crispy and delicious! My friends and I all finished our dishes... should tell you how tasty it was!

Came here b/c all the other kbbq spots in the area could not do any walk ins. This place was definitely a different vibe than other kbbq spots, as this was more fancy(?) maybe because it is also a wine bar.
There weren't too many customers so I kind of felt like all the servers were eyeing us a little too much... It's definitely pricey for kbbq here.. But I'm not sure if it justifies it b/c it didn't seem to stand out more than other kbbq spots that I've been to.
But the cold naengmyeon was delicious, probably one of the better ones I ate at kbbq spots.
If it was a little cheaper I would love to come here more often ):Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information
