The opening of new global offices and the offering of extra services have helped to lift annual revenue at Hakluyt by more than a quarter.

The London-based corporate intelligence specialist generated revenue of £84.9 million in the year to the end of last June, up 26.3 per cent, and profit before tax of £22.7 million, up from £12.8 million, also helped by the reduction in staff travel thanks to the pandemic, accounts to be filed at Companies House will show.

The firm, which advises FTSE 100 companies, was founded 27 years ago by former MI6 intelligence officers. It is led by Varun Chandra, a former Lehman Brothers banker and adviser to Tony Blair, who was appointed managing partner of the business in 2019.
