✨Hiring Manager Spotlight ✨ I have the privilege of collaborating with Rikki-Lynn Vitello on a few positions within Full Circle Studio. In an effort to provide a glimpse into the people working behind the scenes, Rikki-Lynn kindly responded to a set of questions, and I'm excited to share her answers with all of you! 😃 What is your role and what team do you support at EA? I am the Art Outsourcing Manager at Full Circle Studio What's the best piece of advice you have ever received while working in gaming, and how have you applied it to your work? Best advice I was ever given was to speak up and give a need by date. It gives accountability and allows you to show how things are affecting your day-to-day planning. There isn’t a perfect formula when working in outsourcing. Often you need to adapt quickly while still maintaining the core of your original plan. If you can pivot with minimal impact to the integrity of what you are doing, you’ll learn a lot not only the needs of your project, but your ability to be an advocate for your own team as well as your external teams. What's the most interesting project you have worked on at EA, and what was your role in it? I have only been at EA for about 8 months, so skate is my first project here, but I look forward to everyone seeing what we have been doing. What's one unique talent or hobby that you have outside of work? It’s not unique but outside of work I go to a lot of shows, I’m really into music. Every year my childhood friend and her family met us for a weekend-long music festival and it’s just so funny to watch her son react to bands we listened to when we were younger. I also read, knit, and needlepoint when I have time. Any tips or advice for a candidate that is applying to interview with EA? 1) There is no wrong answer, everyone has different ways of approaching things especially when making art, and there is always learning to be done no matter where you go. 2) Just be you, it’s noticed when someone is passionate about something, and it comes through during conversation even if you don’t realize it. 3) If you don’t know something or need clarification, say that. It’s so much better to get context on what is being asked or just say you aren’t familiar with something than it is to give an answer you are not confident in.

You can't be good at all the things! Coming from an artist manager background you are often required to be a bit of everything, especially when you first start out. One day you are a therapist, the next you are an accountant or sorting visas or tour logistics, or marketing or A&R..... it goes on and on (the photo below is of me and the TĀLĀ team on the road to Amsterdam, I drove the sprinter van from London on that one). I think a bit of imposter syndrome had an affect on me here as well. I had to be everything to everyone even if it was something I sucked at. When I worked at AWAL I learned a lot about my strengths. I'm a good advocate, I'm good at creating a plan, I'm good at understanding the resources and strategy that needs to be in place to execute that plan, I'm good at coming up with creative ideas and and pushing boundaries on what's possible, I'm good at inspiring teams and artists, but then there is stuff that I suck at. I suck at technical things and I suck at design in particular. I can't do the things that get the ideas and strategy out of my head to form a physical thing. I need help with that. Understanding and accepting this as we've built elleven world has been crucial to our growth and has allowed me to bring in wonderful team members who just do some stuff better than me. I spoke to someone last night who said they were good at everything and that's just not correct. That cannot be. Artist Management as well as founding a company requires too many diverse skills and I am happy that I know what i'm excellent at and what I suck at. Would love to know what you all suck at, any one brave enough to share???? #artistmanagement #skills #founderskills #foundingteams #foundersjourney

✨This week, I'm focusing on live sessions✨ As promised I will be sharing my top tips and today I am diving into the crucial role that your equipment and set-up play in ensuring success. 💡As a voice actor, I understand how daunting it can be to navigate through all of the technical jargon out there. That's why I've compiled my top tips for setting up your booth for optimal performance. 👉🏼 First things first - invest in a good microphone! 🎙While having basic essentials such as computer software and an interface are important, nothing beats quality sound from a reliable mic. You don't have to break the bank either; Rode NTA1A offers great value without sacrificing audio excellence while Neumann TLM102/103 is perfect if you're looking for low-noise floor capabilities and beautiful deep sound. 👉🏼 Secondly, creating an acoustically treated vocal booth should be one of your highest priorities when building or designing your home studio space. 🏠 No amount of editing will make up for poor acoustic conditions during recording so take time to consider ways you can create effective sound isolation within whatever room you'll use. Additionally, (and perhaps obviously), keep any extraneous noises outside of your booth area- including laptops which may generate distracting sounds like fan whirring- by placing them outside of your booth for these projects where silence matters most. Remember too: mute notifications beforehand lest they interrupt proceedings mid-session! 😉 👉🏼 When it comes to setting up your remote live sessions, comfort is key. You don't want any distractions or discomfort that could hinder your performance. Make sure you have a clutter-free space with no cables hanging around and ample lighting for clear visibility of scripts and notes. A boom arm can give you the freedom to move without affecting sound quality while sitting on an adjustable chair ensures maximum comfort during long hours. 😌 Moreover, stepping out of one's comfort zone in live sessions makes having a comfortable environment all the more important. I personally use high-pile rugs not only for their acoustic benefits but also because they make me feel at ease throughout my performances. 👉🏼In addition to this, ensuring stable internet connectivity through cable should be prioritized as lossless super-high-quality broadcast transfers are ideal for optimum results. Don't let these technicalities intimidate you; there are many online resources available even if working alone! With passion and dedication towards building your home studio set-up over time - like myself- great feedback from sound engineers will soon follow! 🥳 So take charge now by implementing these tips into action today – elevate yourself beyond expectations! #voiceover #remotelivesessions #soundengineering #microphone #neumann #rode #equipmentsetup

☝️🎥👨🎤 Why you should always hire a professional to film live events Covering large-scale events like Matsuri Barcelona presents a unique challenge, even for seasoned video producers. Imagine capturing two days of dynamic performances and workshops attended by over 25,000 people while ensuring unobtrusive filming from multiple angles. Today, we want to shed light on these challenges and share the compelling reasons why hiring professional services, like Video Tales, is crucial for successful event coverage. Filming live events demands precision in real-time. There is inherent pressure to capture key moments as they occur while carefully managing technical setup and equipment. Handheld shooting is generally discouraged, which means that tripods, gimbals, shoulder rigs, or a combination of devices, come into play. In single-camera setups, obtaining multiple viewpoints without missing any important action becomes even more challenging. You need to be able to identify quickly when to switch focus or angles and make your moves discreetly. In multi-camera setups, proper synchronization, white balance, and exposure adjustments are critical to avoid problems on the editing stages. In both cases, even the smallest technical error can compromise the footage, but a skilled video professional navigates such complexities seamlessly. Video Tales guarantees a smooth recording and flawless results. By partnering with Video Tales, you gain more than just a video production team. We work closely with every client before, during, and after production to ensure the end result aligns with your vision. Whether you prefer full event coverage or a highlight reel, you can count on our personalized service and unwavering commitment. Stay tuned for the next post, where we'll delve into our typical workflow using Matsuri Barcelona event videos as an example. #videoproduction #liveevents #videoservices #storytelling #videography #content #professionalservices #contentmarketing #videomarketing #videocontent #videoediting #japan #culture #festival #spain

Wesnapthat: Sharing London's Hidden Gems, One Snap at a Time https://lnkd.in/gNTUyrGb https://lnkd.in/eh9jDSPx Alright, Londoners, gather 'round! As a proud Wesnapthat user for (insert years), I've seen this app transform from a cool London thing to a city-wide phenomenon. We've swapped Big Ben selfies for secret speakeasies, traded tourist trails for hidden rooftop cinemas, and swapped generic pub crawls for immersive art installations tucked away in alleyways. But like the Thames on a sunny day, there's always room for improvement, right? So, I'm throwing it out there – let's chat Wesnapthat features! What's tickling your fancy for new additions? Personally, I'd love a "Live Adventurers" map, pinging with spontaneous events like impromptu music sessions in parks or flash mob dance battles. Imagine stumbling upon hidden gems in real-time! Speaking of the current version, cheers to the ad-free experience! We all know London rents don't leave much room for banner ads, and the clean interface lets the city's vibrancy shine. My absolute favourite feature, though, has to be the "Collections." Curated lists by fellow Londoners, from "Street Art Delights" to "Quirky Pub Crawls" – it's like having a pocket-sized city guide brimming with insider tips. It's like discovering London anew every scroll. But Wesnapthat isn't just about finding the hidden gems, it's about sharing them. That's why the intuitive capture and share options are pure gold. One tap, and voila – my secret rooftop cinema pic is out there, inspiring others to ditch the tourist traps and embrace the unexpected. It's like planting seeds of adventure across the city! So, what do you say, fellow Wesnappers? Let's keep this conversation going! What features would make your Wesnapthat experience even brighter? What hidden gems should we be snapping next? Share your thoughts, your favourite finds, and let's keep London's spirit of exploration alive, one pixelated adventure at a time! Because when it comes to London, the best stories aren't found on guidebooks; they're tucked away in alleyways, whispered in speakeasies, and captured with a Wesnapthat tap. Now, let's go make some magic! Remember, Londoners, the city's our playground. Let's keep snapping, sharing, and #wesnapthatlondon together! #wesnapthatlondon #londonhiddengems #secretcity #offthebeatenpath #adfreelife #communityapp #cityexploration #shareyouradventure #newfeatureideas #londonersunite P.S. Bonus points for the most unique hidden gem suggestion in the comments!

Let's translate your 'why' into a powerful visual story that speaks volumes and empowers millions (also remotely) #personalbrandphotographer #virtualphotographer
The thing I hate the most in life is wasting time. Especially when I feel it and I know it. Like a little grain of sand slipping through your fingers, and you are just standing there knowing it won’t ever come back. Despite all the baggage of mindfulness I carry with me, to be honest, this upsets me the most, to this day. Time is the most valuable thing we have. That’s why efficiency matters. When remote shoots first came across, I was skeptical. Now, every time I shoot, I feel elevated, inspired, and efficient. I help entrepreneurs keep up with their visuals monthly and remote photography delivers great results. It’s basically doable for anybody with an Android or iOS phone, internet, and daylight. In the last years of remote shooting, I have visited Beijing, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, some places in Bali, Argentina, Bogota; I even lost count of how many shoots I have done so far. This is #thefuture, and you know it. Here is more about remote photography: https://lnkd.in/dtFjyXFz #remotephotography
