At the W3C AC meeting in #Hiroshima, Sophia Wu called for collaboration to tackle deepfake threats with new complementary Web standards. #generativeAI #deepfakes #webstandards 🎬 Watch the video: https://lnkd.in/ecYtzCsV

🤔 Many people asked me how to participate in W3C activities, specifically working groups and interest groups, after the W3C Security Interest Group post. 🚪 There are two ways, depending on your affiliation: - If you work for a W3C Member, you must hear from your Advisory Committee Representative. - If you are not working for a W3C Member, then: - Consider whether the organization wants to join W3C. This has several benefits, such as participation in groups and having a chance to shape the web, proposing new technologies, or having your idea become a standard. One of the important things is meeting, socializing, and interacting with the various people in W3C and the other members, all at the organizational level - Invited Expert: You can request the Chairs and Staff Contacts to join the specific group as Invited Experts. In this case, you are not representing the organization you work for. It is not a given that you will be accepted, and the member's access maybe it is not granted. 🕺 W3C Members benefits: https://lnkd.in/dz9Q9kit 💃 Invited Expert: https://lnkd.in/d96qKwgf
