New home, sweet home. IG North America (IG NA) doubled down on its commitment to Chicago with a new tastytrade office and new tastylive studios. And tastytrade furthered the commitment with a $600,000 investment in our partnership with Greenwood Project. Greenwood Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Black and Latino college students become the next generation of leaders in finance. We’re proud to partner with a homegrown Chicago organization and help build a more diverse, inclusive financial services industry. Governor J.B. Pritzker came by to give us a warm welcome and officially cut the ribbon on IG NA’s new headquarters in Fulton Market.

Today we are delighted to announce the appointment of Jody Dunn and Sarah Gore Langton to the IG Group Executive as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer, respectively, subject to regulatory approval. Both are long standing employees who have played pivotal roles in helping to build the high-quality reputation IG has become known for. We are pleased to be able to recognise the deep pools of talent at IG and the further progression of women in our business.

As part of our ongoing support for a fair education for all young people, we were delighted to host a meeting of the Fair Education Alliance recently.   Attended by a group of senior leaders from across industry, charities and the education sector, the Board of Advisors meeting was also joined by Catherine McKinnell MP, Shadow Schools Minister.   Chief Operating Officer Jon Noble, who represented IG at the meeting commented: “I am pleased our business hosted such an important meeting – one that provided industry leaders with an opportunity to share their views on the UK education system and to discuss policy ideas to combat educational inequality.”

On the 10th of January, we were thrilled to host the IG Group No Backpack Day at Elite High School, Bangalore. This heartwarming event saw the distribution of 94 backpacks to our 5th and 7th-grade Students, adding a touch of excitement to their educational journey. We extend our deepest gratitude to IG Global for their unwavering support in making this initiative a reality. The funds for this initiative were raised through an employee giving campaign with IG Global generously matching the amount contributed by its employees.
