It worked great/better in my opinion, and didn't leave a blue tint to your skin like some lotion sunscreens do. It is pretty thick though so keep that in mind if you have kids who don't tolerate rubbing in sunscreen

I love this product and bought 4 bottles. (I wish they sold a large pump bottle). My problem with this seller is sunscreen typically has a 3 yr shelf life but what was shipped to me only has 7 months left until it expires. It will get me through the summer, but it’s a pain that my “new” sunscreen expires a year or 2 before my “old” sunscreen. I use a lot of sunscreen, so there is a good chance I will use it all, but if you don’t use a lot, don’t buy a lot at one time. (Purchased in May 2024. Exp Oct 2024) I am very thankful it wasn’t already expired though.

This is my favorite mineral sunscreen. It’s fragrance free. It leaves a white cast, like all untinted mineral sunscreens. I can’t tell you how severe it is since I am very fair complected so a white tint doesn’t change my coloring much. It’s quite thin and much easier to rub in than other mineral sunscreens. Highly recommend this one!

No Smell But Doesn't Disappear into Skin

I really couldn't smell it all which is a huge plus for me. Also it's not super thick which is nice but it's still difficult to rub in and ultimately it was a shiny and slightly sticky coating on the surface of my skin. Just imagine zinc oxide ointment or Desitin or something like that. You can rub it in but it never totally absorbs. It stayed that way all day. When I got in my car (later), I did not want the seat belt to touch the bare skin that had sunscreen on it and get the seat belt yucky.

I even gave it a second try because I realized I used a cotton ball to apply it, as I often do, and I thought maybe that's why it didn't rub in all the way. It did rub in maybe a hair better, but it took three attempts at washing it off my hand to get enough lather to actually take it off. Good for waterproofness I guess but gives you an idea of the sticky quality of this stuff. I cannot imagine having this on my whole body at the beach.

So this will not work for an everyday sunscreen when wearing tank tops, which is what I wanted. I rarely go to the beach or waterslide anymore, but I’ll save it for that just in case.

It doesn’t say “reef safe” on the bottle but the only active ingredient is zinc oxide. Although the name is “Pure & Simple,” there is a long list of chemical inactive ingredients, so not so pure and simple in my opinion. But I don’t think there are any suncreens without SOME chemicals.

Mi piel es sumamente reactiva y demasiado fotosensible, por lo que he sufrido mucho para hallar un protector que no haga que arda mi piel y reaccione. 2. Es complicado encontrarlo en México y en Amazon cada rato está agotado, así que también tómalo en cuenta, de que cuando esté disponible, hay que comprar varios :D.

Because the hole is flushed with the cover, a lot of the sunscreen lands up on the cover and it's wasted cos I personally found it gross to wipe the excess off the surface and then putting it on my face!
