Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and shoppers are loving these categories for their special someone’s, resulting in strong growth week-over-week and year-over-year.
With Valentine’s Day nearly here, it’s not a big surprise to see a jump in sales in related categories on the Rakuten Rewards platform. Flowers popped over the last week, but Uncle Sam is giving Cupid a run for his money. Both flowers and tax products experienced a triple-digit increase over the last seven days, far outpacing a healthy single-digit boost for jewelry. There are also some standout category performers over the last year. Pets are getting lots of attention and are the clear winner followed by Fine Arts & China, Wellness & Nutrition, and Books & Education – all boasting impressive triple and double-digit growth.
