The 7th International Conference on Advanced Nanoparticle Generation and Excitation by Lasers in Liquids (ANGEL)

Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, May 26-30, 2024

Charlottesville

Welcome to the web page of the 7th International Conference on Advanced Nanoparticle Generation and Excitation by Lasers in Liquids (ANGEL). In May of 2024, ANGEL will make its debut in the United States. The conference will continue the tradition initiated at the 2010 Conference in Engelberg, Switzerland, and strengthened at successive meetings in Taormina (Sicily, Italy) in 2012, Matsuyama-shi (Japan) in 2014, Essen (Germany) in 2016, Lyon (France) in 2018, and Hefei (China) in 2021.

The conference will bring together researchers involved in experimental, theoretical, and computational investigations in the general area of laser-materials interaction in liquids. Broad representation of researchers from different countries and active interdisciplinary discussions are characteristics of ANGEL meetings. The conference provides a forum for sharing the results of both application-oriented work and studies of fundamental mechanisms related to laser synthesis and processing of nanoparticles, as well as the utilization of laser-generated particles in catalysis, energy conversion, additive manufacturing, and optics.

The program will consist of 4 days of oral and poster sessions. Conference participants will be invited to contribute to Special Issues of the of Physical Chemistry C and Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology
