Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Ayodhya-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express from the UP city at 11am on December 30. It will later run from the national capital as New Delhi-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express from January 1, 2024. Apart from this, Modi will also flag off another Amrit Bharat Express and six Vande Bharat trains through videoconferencing from Ayodhya on Saturday. According to a railway notification, on Saturday, the Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Ayodhya at 11am and reach the Bihar city at 10.30pm the same day. The new train, which has permissible speed of 130km/hr, will have stoppages at Mankapur, Basti, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Raxaul, Bairgania, Sitamarhi, Janakpur Road and Kamtaul in between. Samastipur divisional railway manager (DRM) Vinay Srivastava said after the inaugural run, the biweekly Amrit Bharat Express will run between Darbhanga and Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi) from January 1. The new train has 24 non-AC coaches - eight second class unreserved, 12 sleeper class, two brake vans and two locomotives. The fare table is yet to be released.
