NSF Logos and Usage Standards
NSF's logo can be used by recipients of NSF support for the sole purpose of acknowledging that support.
NSF's logo can be used to link to an NSF website or acknowledge NSF assistance or affiliation.
NSF POLICY ON BRAND STANDARDS
The NSF Policy on Brand Standards contains updated guidance and usage information for both NSF staff and external users. It is meant to be used in conjunction with the NSF Brand Standards Manual for in-depth implementation guidelines.
WHO CANNOT USE THE LOGO?
NSF's logo cannot be used in a manner that falsely implies employment by or affiliation with NSF. NSF's logo cannot be used to imply or endorse a product or service.
DO I NEED PERMISSION TO USE THE NSF LOGO?
No permission is necessary to use the NSF logo if all standard logo use conditions specified in the NSF Policy on Brand Standards are met. If the logo usage does not meet these conditions, please contact NSF Brand Management at NSFbranding@nsf.gov for review and approval.
NSF BRAND IDENTITY PORTAL
The NSF Brand Identity Portal is a one-stop shop for official logo files, brand identity assets and resources.
It's hosted on the NSF Media Hub and available to both internal and external users.

The NSF Brand Standards Manual contains the primary elements and guidelines required to support the U.S. National Science Foundation's (NSF) visual identity and brand. These apply to oral and written communications, branded products, media, social media, facilities and equipment.

NSF PRIMARY LOGO
The NSF logo is the sole visual identifier of the U.S. National Science Foundation and embodies a set of values that is applied to everything we create and communicate. This logo version should be used at all times, except when production requirements dictate a specific file type or color variation. Other logo variations should not be used based on artistic preference. If you need a logo variation to meet production specifications, please submit a request to NSFbranding@nsf.gov.
