Kristina Edwards was relieved when she became a scholar in the USDA 1890 National Scholars Program. Monetary benefits of the program include a full-ride scholarship covering tuition, room and board, fees, and the cost of books. She had the unique experience of USDA internships during the summers while attending Prairie View A&M University as an 1890 National Scholar.
