I love this falafel maker. It saves me so much time and so easy to use. It's very well made and cleaning it is a breeze. You can easily take it apart for better cleaning. I also use it to shape sugar free coconut flake cookies. It helps give them great texture and I hardly have to use any fat. I just press them down and release into the baking sheet, just like I do with falafel. A little pricey but worth every penny. Very handy and built to last.

This falafel press is awesome and I’m very happy with the purchase. I made roughly 50 falafels for a party and it would not have been possible without this tool. Having this made the task quick and efficient. Clean up was easy in the dishwasher- I simply removed the side button and spring, left them on the counter, and put the other two pieces in the dishwasher.

My order also arrived much faster than anticipated. I had it in hand in about 2-3 days, not 1.5 weeks as was predicted by Amazon.

Edit: since I've had this falafel scoop I have come to use it for other things too. It makes a great tool for shaping and scooping cookie dough into equal portions and it gives the cookies a professional and consistent appearance.

I am glad to pay more for quality. You can buy a falafel maker for $7 but it rusts and is hard to clean.
This comes apart so you can clean it and is stainless! People complain that the handle is plastic but it seems like quality plastic and is easy too grip. Made in Germany you can tell this is really well made. I had to modify mine by adding 4 stainless steel washers under the main plate that the falafel mix goes on because it was deeper than I wanted. I am making Keto falafel with sunflower seeds and I like my falafel disks thinner. It was a very easy fix and works perfectly.

Well made but not 100% stainless: handle is a lightly textured plastic material. Have mixed feelings about this - fairly pricy and I was expecting a powder coated metal handle. The positive is that it fully disassembles so it is easy to COMPLETELY CLEAN. Cleaning is difficult with most other falafel molds that are cheap molded/stamped metal that do not disassemble. I think this is an improvement on most crudely made falafel molds available, but not sure if the handle will stand up to splashing hot oil or if it merits the price premium I normally associate with high end German kitchen accessories. Keeping it because I have been looking for a finely finished falafel mold for a long time and this may be the only thing around. I might have put it back on the shelf if I had encountered it at a bricks and mortar store. I have the large size and this would correspond to most normal restaurant sized falafel.

Used this yesterday to make quite a bit of falafel. It is of professional grade and very easy to use and clean. Took me a minute to figure out how to fill it. All you need to do is pull the lever back, take a large spoonful of mix; put it in the well of the tool and drop it in the oil. It is a well engineered piece of equipment because it doesn't just drop the mix into the oil, which can splash back. It actually does not release the mix until you nudge it gently off into the oil with the spoon or knife. Then it slides off the flat side of the tool nicely and in tact. It takes just seconds to fill and release making quick work to frying large batches. I highly recommend it for the serious cook.

When I pay full price for a new product I expect it to be new. I purchased a falafel portioner and the box arrived torn and re-taped. At the time I didn't think too much of it. I gave the falafel portioner to my mother for her birthday. While it was still "new" I showed her how to take it apart to clean it only to find food on the inside. If my mom didn't live in a different state I would have sent it back just on principle.

The device itself is amazing. it's perfect for making perfectly sized falafel (or small burgers for making sliders). While I believe it is a little expensive, it's really good quality and makes the whole process less messy.

I'm so glad I looked into how it's done and found this. What a pleasure it is to make falafels without wearing all that grease! I highly recommend this falafel scoop because it works beautifully and then comes apart for easy cleaning, which is a plus to me. If I have to stand at the kitchen sink for more than a few minutes with one item, it goes into the trash and I look for one that's better made.

Der Falafel-Portionierer wurde uns von Freunden empfohlen, darum haben wir ihn uns trotz des Preises angeschafft. Wir haben die Anschaffung nicht bereut, sondern sind inzwischen restlos begeistert.

Die Bedienung ist wirklich "kinderleicht" (bei uns war es ein neun Jahre altes Kind, das mit Begeisterung die Falafelproduktion übernahm während die Eltern brutzelten). Man kann mit einer solchen Arbeitsteilung (einer portioniert, der andere brät) auch größere Mengen Teig relativ zügig zubereiten.

Dadurch, dass man den Portionierer komplett zerlegen und alle Teile in der Spülmaschine reinigen kann, ist die Reinigung unkompliziert. Es gibt keine Stellen, wo sich Reste festsetzen oder Spülwasser stehen bleibt. Nach dem Zusammenbau funktioniert der Portionierer dann wieder genauso gut wie vorher.

Der Preis wirkt erstmal hoch. Wenn man aber bedenkt, dass man ein solides Werkzeug erwirbt, das man vermutlich noch an die Enkel weitervererben kann, relativiert sich der Anschaffungspreis wieder.

Die einzige Frage, die man sich vor der Anschaffung stellen sollte ist: Brauche ich wirklich noch ein Küchenwerkzeug? Wenn man z.B. nur 1-2x im Jahr Falafel macht, dann könnte man die wohl auch von Hand portionieren -allerdings werden sie ohne den Portionierer sicher nicht so schön gleichmäßig.

Er macht einen sehr robusten, langlebigen Eindruck, liegt angenehm schwer in der Hand und das Falafel-machen geht total einfach und schnell. Ich bin (nach dem ersten Gebrauch) völlig begeistert. Der Preis ist zwar astronomisch hoch (knapp 32€), aber dafür erhält man ein wertiges, perfekt funktionierendes Teil, das Made in Germany, leichtgängig und leicht zu reinigen ist und den Eindruck macht, es könnte ein Leben lang halten.
Für alle, die gern Falafel machen, absolut zu empfehlen. Ich werde künftig auch alle anderen Bratlinge und wahrscheinlich sogar Lebkuchen damit formen. Geht bestimmt!
