My review comes from last year when I used it on a trip to Norway and a little bit in North Italy. I’m not sure what updates or changes have happened since then. This is also a thanks to the community for posting and reviewing places to help others. I used a car and then wild camped at various locations that I thought were appropriate. This app was great, some great spots which you can specify by campsite, nature spot etc so you really have good options. It saved me so much in Norway so thank you.

We used this App 2 years ago when visiting Scotland and it was great. We’re currently using it and it’s gone downhill drastically. Moderators you need to clean up peoples posts, the App is clearly called Park4night, not park for a few hours during the day.
People are posting about stops that are not for overnighting wasting our time wading through lots of options causing much confusion. Why post “a great place but no overnight stays” creating a map entry, wasting space on the map and peoples time searching through unsuitable options.
Why not get people to fill in a questionnaire style form to enable posting, things like -
“Can you park overnight” yes/no
“Are there height restrictions” yes/no
“Is the road accessible for large motorhomes” yes/no
“Is there a charge” yes/no
This can eliminate the wheat from the chaff making what was a great app usable again. Last night we wasted 20/30 minutes each time we went somewhere unsuitable leaving us in a noisy roadside lay-by at 10pm with 3 children under 8, not a nice experience.
Why don’t you incorporate the App ‘What Three Words’ as a means of locating places, last night we drove round and round trying to find somewhere that in the end had height restrictions. We navigated small roads with no passing places to end up miles down a lane not being able to get into the spot anyway.

Good morning! In our app you will find a category "Parking Day Only", it means you cannot stay overnight. If you find a place that is published under different category, and the overnight is prohibited, please report it to us by sending an alert. The best thing about the app is the community and of course, being able to stay overnight for free (mostly)!
To support the app development We've renewed our premium for a second year. Although the features on premium flat out don't work. Offline maps don't work. Filtering doesn't work well. Often have to close the app and reopen it to see posts and reviews. It's extremely buggy.

The app needs fixing to run smoothly. I'm running the latest iPhone/iOS so shouldn't be any hardware issues bogging it down. Premium features should work and more should be offered to those with premium. Due to the forever-changing parking restrictions(in the UK), it would be nice to see a feature to flag locations as “no overnight”. Or any kind of effective way of filtering locations to your needs. It takes a lot of time to read through reviews (especially with the buggy app)

The development needs to focus on smooth operation and convenience to its users.

I'm still happy with the app as it has saved us money that would otherwise be spent at campsites and happy to continue paying for the premium assuming it will help fund, fix and improve the app for the community!
