I use the app on Android, and it is not making my life easier. Regular glitching, no option to change editions, the scanner with the camera does not work, & most of the times I have to type in the isbn to get the correct edition. Notifications are a mess, too. I get those sometimes, but not when it is for comments on updates. Tried using the Web version in a desktop mode, but it keeps jumping to the app instead. At this point, I am just frustrated with the app and think of switching to another.

The basic functions this app is designed for are broken. People use GR to track their books, yet the tracking does not work. The shelving is bugged - displaying books in both TBR and Read, showing incorrect number of books read this year, etc. I recommend anyone having issues with Good Reads to migrate to Storygraph, as their shelving actually works, you can choose which edition you're reading for more accurate stats, and you get fun graphs too!

It should be a 5* app but it's so clumsy and not user-friendly, it's like it was made in 2010 and not updated since. On the app you can't search for people, the search contacts function doesn't work, and every time you open the app or go back a page it asks to send you notifications. Even adding a profile picture feels like your updating MySpace. I love the idea of the app but it's functionality is dreadful and needs a good refresh.
