Help Shape FCPS’ Future and Learn About Happenings in Mount Vernon!

Dear Community Members,

Next week is going to be a busy week with opportunities for community members to shape the future of the school system, and hear about what is happening in Mount Vernon.

Strategic Plan

Our students are preparing for careers that don’t exist today. In order to keep pace with these needs, we must rethink our plans for the future and how we will best serve our students for this new era.  FCPS is in the process of developing a new strategic plan.  Please join us in this important work of developing a new Strategic Plan

Community Forums will provide families, students, staff, and community members with an opportunity to review student achievement, access, and perception data, and identify both strengths and challenges within the data. Community input from the forums will be shared with our Core Planning Team to incorporate recommendations into finalized Strategic Plan goals.

The Mount Vernon District Community Forum is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 6:30-8 p.m., at South County HS. Please register today

If you are unable to attend the Mount Vernon District Community Forum, please view the schedule of Community Forums—including an event at Edison HS on Monday February 6, or one of several virtual options including a Spanish-language event. Register for the one that is most convenient for you.
