Training in Urban Medicine and Public Health

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health developed Training in Urban Medicine and Public Health (TRIUMPH), an urban training track within the MD program, in response to health inequities and chronic physician shortages in Wisconsin’s urban areas.

TRIUMPH trains students to become community-engaged physician leaders committed to caring for underserved urban populations and reducing health inequities.

TRIUMPH was a huge draw for me to attend the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. I learned so much about public health and community health and, honestly, also about being a good person and a good citizen.
