Program Overview

The Horticulture program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in environmental horticulture. The program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and technical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to retrain or upgrade present knowledge and skills.

Entrance Requirements

Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent is not required for admission, but must be obtained before receiving a diploma from SGTC. Age: 16 years or older Placement: Achievement of appropriate scores on the college's placement test or submission of acceptable SAT or ACT scores. Provisional Admission accepted.
