I will be returning this book. This is not the version that I read as a child. Peter actually ends up saving the day in the end after he lied several times. I am sorry, but isn’t this book supposed to teach children not to lie and abuse trust? This book will not teach them that lying is wrong. It will teach them that it’s OK to lie as long as you step up and make things right in the end. That’s not OK in my book. The snowflakes have officially gotten to our childhood stories. Stay away from this version and find one from and author who isn’t afraid to offend anyone.
