Zusamenfassung
Die Anwendung komplementärmedizinischer Diagnostik- und Therapieverfahren ist bei Mammakarzinompatientinnen weit verbreitet. Sie resultiert meist aus dem verständlichen Wunsch, nichts unversucht zu lassen, um Heilung zu erzielen oder die Lebensqualität zu erhalten bzw. zu verbessern. Die überwiegende Mehrzahl komplementärmedizinischer Therapieverfahren erzielt ihre (angebliche!) Wirkung über unspezifische Immunmodulation/Immunstimulation, antioxidativeoder Zellmembran-/Genom-stabilisierende Aktivitäten. Randomisierte kontrollierte klinische Studien zur Unbedenklichkeit und Wirksamkeit fehlen für die meisten Verfahren
