FLINT (WJRT) - (01/26/16) - Celebrity donations continue rolling in for the Flint water emergency.

Recording artist and Detroit native Kem handed over a $10,000 check to the Salvation Army of Genesee County on Tuesday.

Kem helped with water distribution, even carrying cases out to the cars of people who were there to pick up food and supplies.

"You know, Flint is right up the street. This is my community, too. People up here support my music, we support each other," Kem said.

The $10,000 donation helped kick off the Salvation Army's fundraising campaign. The organization is accepting donations via smartphone by texting "WATER" to 91999.
