Book and Periodical Publishing
A not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting plant science.
About us
The New Phytologist Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organisation which is dedicated to supporting and promoting plant science. We own and produce two peer-reviewed journals: New Phytologist, and Plants, People, Planet. We ensure that any excess revenue from the journals is put straight back into supporting plant science through a variety of projects, from Symposia series and Workshops, to free access to our Tansley reviews, to grants to support early career researchers. We're delighted to announce the 46th New Phytologist Symposium: Stomata! #46NPS There have been dramatic developments in our understanding of #stomata in recent years, from how their function is controlled and enormous insights into the control of their development, to their evolution and the impact of manipulating stomatal function on plant water-use efficiency. The #46NPS will provide a forum for stomatal scientists to discuss the latest developments and decide on a roadmap for future stomatal research. Given the context of global environment change, it's essential to place stomatal research in this overarching context. On behalf of the organising committee, we hope you can join us! 21–24 October 2024 | Kaifeng, China Travel grant and oral abstract deadline: 14 June Poster abstract deadline: 22 July 👉 https://ow.ly/BQUR50Rmm8p

Excited to share the commentary of our recent study in The New Phytologist Foundation on "Aging later but faster: how StCDF1 regulates senescence in Solanum tuberosum." 🌿 Our research delves into the crucial connection between tuber formation and senescence, shedding light on the molecular regulatory network governing potato leaf senescence onset. Our findings propose a multifaceted role for StCDF1 in the regulation of potato plant senescence. Stay tuned for more updates and discussions on this intriguing topic! #PlantScience #SenescenceRegulation #PotatoResearch 🥔🔬 Michiel de Vries Christian Bachem Richard G.F.
