Cable news channel NewsNation has signed a pair of top executives to new contracts, the network announced on Tuesday. Michael Corn has been named President of Programming and Specials while Cherie Grzech has been elevated to President and Managing Editor of News and Politics, the outlet said. Both will report to Sean Compton, President of Nexstar Media Group’s Networks division. “NewsNation’s remarkable growth over the past three years is a testament to Michael and Cherie’s exceptional leadership,” Compton said in a statement. “As we steer our organization into a full 24/7 operation later this spring, we are thrilled to have them guiding the network in these newly focused roles.” As part of his new role, Corn will relocate full-time to the network’s New York bureau and focus on growing the network’s flagship programs. He previously served as NewsNation’s President of News and was responsible for the long-term strategy and day-to-day operations for the network’s programming and expansion. In Grzech’s new position, she will oversee all news and political shows including “NewsNation Live,” “NewsNation Now,” “The Hill” and “The Hill Sunday,” the company said.

It was a great honor to participate among the trailblazing women on this panel. Such an incredible opportunity to share insights and inspire one another. Grateful for the chance to be part of such an empowering group! Thank you Téa Duplex for organizing and championing. Looking forward to the next discussions!
I'm thrilled to be leading the Women's ERG at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. It's been an incredible opportunity to connect with so many amazing women across our organization and to listen to their stories, hopes, and aspirations. Today, I had the privilege of moderating a panel on Workplace Challenges. It was an enlightening discussion that covered topics such as gender bias, work-life balance, career advancement barriers, and navigating male-dominated fields. What made this discussion even more special was that every single speaker was from a different part of the company and brought their unique perspective to the conversation. I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to Teresa Rix, Jennifer Crumley, Shaday So, and Michelle Kenney for sharing their wisdom and experiences with us. Your insights were truly invaluable and will undoubtedly inspire others to keep pushing for progress. #WomenInLeadership #DiversityandInclusion #NexstarMediaGroup
