About Avinor

Avinor owns and operates 46 airports in Norway, 14 in association with the armed forces. Avinor is responsible for air traffic control services in Norway.

Avinor's primary task is to make capacity and expertise available for the airlines. As a state owned limited company it is important for Avinor to be able to adapt quickly to changes in the market and operate efficiently for the benefit of Norwegian aviation.

Safety and security have our highest priority, and Avinor is responsible to maintain a right level of security at every airport. We work continuously to minimize our environmental impact on the surroundings.

Avinor became a limited company in 2003, and is fully owned by the Norwegian state. The ownership is controlled through the ministry of transport and communication. Avinor is a self financed business.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen is a fully owned subsidiaries.

Other subsidiaries are:

  • Avinor Parkeringsanlegg AS. The company finances and builds parking facilities at Norwegian airports.

  • Flesland Eiendom AS. The company owns the Clarion Bergen Hotell at Bergen, Flesland airport.

  • Værnes Eiendom AS. The company is established to build an airport hotel at Trondheim, Værnes airport.
