How to use

1. Plug in the power supply.

2. Put the magnetic watch or parts on the demagnetization area floating around 2 cm above, and the finger holding down the red button, so that items in the degausser on the back and forth around the flip several times, to the various parts of demagnetization, the time is about 5 to 10 seconds.

3. Release the button, unplug the power is degaussing to complete.

Note

Simple device but it works. My Seiko movement was running 2 minutes fast per week. It was recommended that I take it to a watch repair shop to be magnetized and it would only cost about $10. I checked Amazon as I always do and saw that for a few dollars more I could own one and have it. Well it worked! Instead of being 17 seconds fast every 24hrs, my watch is just 1-2 seconds fast per 24hrs. For an automatic movement that is something I can live with.I only gave 4 stars because mine had a piece of broken plastic inside that rattled around. A piece of plastic tab was broken during assembly and left inside. Doesn't effect performance or durability so I kept it instead of returning it.

Got this a few weeks ago. My inexpensive Invicta watch was running quite fast. Like gaining 30 min. a day. I searched the interwebs to find my watch might have gotten magnetized. My android phone has a magnetometer app called Magneto. Sure enough, there was a fairly strong magnetic field emanating from my watch. Used this a couple of times and the magnetic field disappeared and the watch is back to being quite accurate.
There are No instructions, so I had to ding in down to 4 stars. There are instruction on the interwebs...

This is a nice tool to have for de-magnetizing tools and other objects (not sure what) that need it. It worked quite well on some watch repair tools. As for de-magnetizing a watch, I'm not so sure. I tried it on an old project watch numerous times and it never affected the watch's ability to move my compass dial over 90 degrees. Even following the instructional videos didn't help.

Tried to use this to demagnetize my watch movement. After multiple tries using slight variations in approach (longer time, moving watch around, changing watch position), there is zero measurable effect when testing before and after. As you might suspect from products imported from certain places, this is a useless piece of junk.

If you look at watch/tool demagnetizers here you see many versions, with various prices, of the same product.
It is a blue rectangular box with the model #340-400. If you are in the U'S.. pay attention to the electrical plug.
Seems that most have a two pin E.U. plug. The first one I ordered showed a us spade plug but arrived with the E.U.
plug. When I finally obtained an adaptor, found out the unit was DOA.
This unit from Paddsun. had the correct plug and the pilot light lit when I turned it on.
The reason I bought the unit was that I have a watch that is COSC certified (-2 to +6 seconds per day). It began
gaining 15 seconds per day. After doing some research I guessed it had become magnetized. Called several Jewelers and they all said it needed a cleaning and overhaul. I had this done 4 years ago to the tune of $600 so I really felt that was not the problem. After this one arrived (FYI it has no instructions included) I did a four position
demag and tested it for four days. It is now running 4 to 5 seconds fast per day.
I am delighted with the results and for the price, It was absolutely worth it.
The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the packaging, build quality is not 5 star. But for what it costs
and the results I got, I absolutely recommend it.
