Kathleen Kennedy Townsend
Lieutenant Governor of Maryland from 1995 to 2003
Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (born July 4, 1951) is an American lawyer. She was the sixth Lieutenant Governor of Maryland from 1995 to 2003.[1] She was unsuccessful in her run for Governor of Maryland in 2002.[2] Kennedy Townsend worked for state government of Maryland, including Attorney General.

Career change
In 2010 Kennedy Townsend became the chair of the non-profit American Bridge, an organization which raises funds for Democratic candidates and causes. She is a member of the prominent Kennedy family.
Personal life change
Kennedy Townsend's father is the assassinated Robert F. Kennedy. Her father was killed in 1968.
