'Robbie Weekend' draws 120,000 fans
Robbie Williams
'Robbie Weekend' fever has been building for weeks
Robbie Williams has performed in front of more than 120,000 fans over the weekend in back-to-back shows at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

The allocation of 62,000 tickets for each night sold out weeks ago.

"Robbie Weekend" took over the capital, with hotels booked out and business takings up from fans taking a break in Cardiff.

The Millennium Stadium is a fitting venue for Williams' talents
Extra trains were laid on to cope with thousands of fans from across the UK.

Williams - whose hits include Angels and Millennium - has talked of "killing off" his current image and reinventing himself with a new look and sound this autumn.

The star has been approached to appear in a massive musical at the Millennium Stadium this autumn.

Former Live Aid organiser Midge Ure has approached Williams, Madonna and U2 to appear in a stage show on 20 October.

Williams is due to be in the southern hemisphere on his world tour.

But confirmed artists include Charlotte Church and Atomic Kitten.

Williams made his first live appearance on stage in Wales as a teenager with his father, Pete Conway.

Broken bed

The duo appeared in the Carmarthenshire resort town of Kidwelly.

Williams set young pulses racing as a would-be star, when he teamed up on stage with his future Take That colleague Mark Owen.

The star hit the headlines earlier this year when he auctioned his broken bed among a number of personal items for charity, raising 221,000 for his charity Give It Sum!
