The statue is likely to be sited at Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff City fans have voted for their favourite design for a statue in honour of 1927 FA Cup-winning captain Fred Keenor. The club's supporters' trust organised a poll to allow supporters to vote on the three shortlisted designs. The winner was sculptor Roger Andrews, of Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan. Keenor, who was from Roath, Cardiff, led the Bluebirds to victory over Arsenal at Wembley, the only time the cup has been won by a non-English team. Andrews said: "It is an honour and privilege to be appointed as the sculptor for the Fred Keenor statue. "I am sure the statue will be seen as iconic by fans of Cardiff City Football Club and an outstanding memorial to Fred and the 1927 FA Cup-winning team." The location for the statue is still to be decided but the most likely site is Cardiff City Stadium, where land is available.
