Spartak Moscow midfielder Titov has also been fined £4,420

Wales could seek to have their Euro 2004 play-off defeat overturned after Russia midfielder Yegor Titov failed a drugs test. The 27-year-old was found to have the stimulant Bromantan in his system after the first leg in Moscow on 15 November. "We will have to ask Uefa what the position is and whether there are grounds for an appeal," said Mark Evans of the Football Association of Wales. "We have a duty to our own supporters to ask the questions."
Evans added: "Our medical people have checked on the drug and discovered that it was banned from the 1996 Olympics (onwards)." Titov was a substitute in the first leg but started in the second leg in Cardiff four days later - which Russia won 1-0.
